Maybe I was always meant to do this.

01 — ABOUT JOVANNA

A dreamer from the beginning.

I grew up in Puerto Rico in a humble, hardworking family. I was a dreamer from the beginning — curious, independent, and always imagining something more.

I also started working young. Really young.

At 12, I spent my summers working. By 15, my best friend and I were managing and handing out flyers for a surf shop in Isla Verde. At 18, I was studying and working at the same time, eventually going from cashier to management.

That became a pattern throughout my life.

Work hard. Learn. Lead. Grow. Repeat.

Over the years, I managed teams, offices and departments. Eventually, I took one of my biggest leaps and built a business of my own.

That experience taught me something I would carry with me forever:

You don't always need the perfect title to belong in the room.

I didn't need to be an attorney to build and successfully run a business in that field. I learned. I figured things out. I surrounded myself with the right people. And most importantly, I discovered that I was capable of doing things that, at first, felt completely outside my comfort zone.

It taught me about business.
But even more than that, it taught me about courage.
And still, there was another part of me waiting to be explored.

My creativity.

As a little girl, I would look at clothes and immediately imagine them differently.

“I love this… but what if we changed this? What if it came in that color? What if the cut looked like this instead?”

I imagined dresses, colors, prints and details.
But because I couldn't draw the ideas I could see so clearly in my head, I convinced myself I wasn't creative.
My mother and sister could draw beautifully. I couldn't.
So somewhere along the way, I created a rule for myself:

“Creative people know how to draw. Therefore, I wasn't creative.”

Turns out, I was very wrong.

And it only took me almost 50 years to figure it out. 😉

02 — WHY NOW?

The dream of doing something with fashion has been with me for years.

Nearly 15 years ago, I remember imagining a business centered around clothes, jewelry, shoes and putting looks together.
And then I watched other women around me do it. Friends launched boutiques and online stores, and every time I saw one of them take the leap, something inside me lit up.

I felt inspired.
But almost immediately, another voice would show up:

“Another clothing store?” “Do we really need another one?” “Why would I do it too?”

So I waited.

“Fear has a funny way of disguising itself as logic.”

Today I understand something I didn't understand then: I don't need to create something for everyone. And I don't want to.
I'm not building a store where I try to figure out what every woman wants and become everything to everybody.
I'm building something with a point of view.
I want to choose pieces that I would wear. Pieces that excite me. Pieces that feel effortless, bold, comfortable, sexy, unexpected or just freaking cool.
And eventually, I want to create some of those pieces myself.

The right women will find them.
The right women will find us.

Because Revolución Consciente isn't about selling to everyone. It's about creating a community around women who recognize themselves in what we're building.

03 — THE STORY BEHIND REVOLUCIÓN CONSCIENTE

This isn't just a clothing brand. It's a declaration.

The name Revolución Consciente came into my life years before I fully understood what it would become.

It was born during another chapter of my life — one centered around spirituality, healing, personal growth and helping other people reconnect with themselves. For years, the name represented that work.

Then I changed.

And eventually I realized… Revolución Consciente was changing with me. Or maybe I was finally understanding what it had meant all along.

At 49, after navigating one of the most transformative seasons of my life, midlife forced me to ask questions I could no longer ignore:

  1. IWhat do I actually want?
  2. IIWhat makes me feel alive?
  3. IIIWhat would I create if I stopped worrying about what I'm supposed to do?
  4. IVAnd if not now… when?

The answer brought me all the way back to that little girl who was mentally redesigning clothes but didn't believe she was creative enough to do anything about it.

Except this time, she doesn't need to know how to draw.

She just needs to begin.

04 — THIS IS OUR REVOLUTION

To me, Revolución Consciente means reaching a point in your life when you decide to become the leader of it.

To choose yourself.

  • Your joy.
  • Your wellbeing.
  • Your dreams.
  • Your style.
  • Your freaking life.

It's understanding that starting over doesn't mean you failed.

Sometimes it means you finally listened to yourself.

  • We can change careers.
  • We can reinvent our style.
  • We can start the business we've been thinking about for 15 years.
  • We can wear the damn outfit.
  • We can outgrow old identities, old expectations and old versions of ourselves.
  • And we can begin again at 40, 49, 55, 60 — whenever.

We don't need permission. That's the revolution.
